Purchasing Your Puppy and Shipping
![]()
If you wish to reserve/adopt a puppy we require a $250 non-refundable deposit. No Exceptions.
This deposit guarantees that we, the seller, will hold the puppy you have chosen for you, the buyer. The deposit also is a guarantee that you, the buyer, will complete the purchase of your chosen puppy. If you, the buyer, choose not complete the purchase of your puppy within the agreed upon time, the deposit will not be refunded or transferred to another puppy. The deposit will only be refunded or transferred to another puppy if there is a medical condition with the original puppy.
All our puppies receive a final veterinarian health check prior to leaving our home. If our vet detects a problem you have the right to pick another puppy or receive a full refund.
The deposit is applied to the purchase price of your puppy. The balance in full is due prior to shipping your puppy to you. If you are driving pick up your puppy, the balance is due in cash or Certified Bank Check, upon receiving your puppy. A puppy that is not paid in full will NOT be shipped. No Exceptions.
We will book the flight or make truck reservations for your puppy when he/she is paid in full. No Exceptions.
There are several steps that must be taken to ready your puppy for transportation including, but not limited to, a visit with the veterinarian. Once that appointment is made and your puppy is given his clean bill of health, we can then proceed to final shipping arrangements.
We utilize two forms of shipment: AMERICAN, CONTINENTAL & DELTA AIRLINES and under certain circumstances (excessive heat during the summer months), Air-Conditioned Pet Ground Transport. We do not use Amtrak. We do not "mail" your puppy to you. No Exceptions.
To insure that the flight or pet transport is not booked up, we require you pay balance in full at least one week prior to your expected ship date.
There are only so many "spaces" available per flight, per day for puppies. These spaces fill up fast, so you must understand that you cannot send your payment in full one day and expect shipment the next.
During times of extreme heat or cold, the airlines will not allow puppies to be transported. It is far too big a risk for the puppy's health. If this happens and your flight must be rescheduled, we will inform you immediately and reschedule your puppy's flight or make arrangements for ground transportation.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
We can accept all major credit cards and payments through Paypal. There is a 3% fee for credit card purchases to offset the service charge and percentage fee that the credit card company charges. We also accept payments via Western Union or a Certified Bank Check. Sorry, but we cannot accept personal checks.
SHIPPING YOUR PUPPY
Shipping is a very easy process for you and an equally easy and SAFE process for your puppy. We make all the arrangements for you and notify you of the flight schedule. All you have to do is go to the airport and pick up your new puppy. You will need a photo I.D. (state issued drivers license) to pick up the puppy at the airport. Shipping fee for the mainland 48 states is $250. This includes the flight and an airline approved pet carrier for you to keep (if by air) or transportation and delivery via specialized pet transport. If you live outside this area we will need to check on pricing at that time.
Pet Transport via air-conditioned trucks is available in the hot summer months. You may choose the address you wish to have your puppy delivered to (work, home, school). You must produce verified identification to the driver to have your puppy released to you. A pet carrier is not included with ground transportation. Transport companies does not allow us to send the carrier along with your puppy.
You may also choose to pick up your puppy. Many families find that they wish to meet us a pre-determined destination. If this sounds like something you would like to do...feel free to ask. Cities near us are: Joplin, Neosho, Republic, Springfield, Mt. Vernon and Branson, Missouri and Rogers, Springdale, Bentonville and Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PUPPY MILL? I THINK NOT!
On the subject of "puppy mills"...we are NOT one, nor do we know of any. We have several good family friends who raise dogs as a business. Contrary to what you may have read on the internet or seen on TV.....the horrible treatment of dogs and puppies is not "the norm". We follow a very strict guideline, as do all the breeders I personally know, of premium or super premium foods, vaccinations and boosters as well as regular visits to the vet for wellness checks and health certificates. We must adhere to these strict guidelines to be able to place puppies on ANY transport vehicle. Without the Health Certificate...a puppy does NOT travel. Most breeders also pay for Microchips as well as four or five generation pedigrees, plus chew toys, baby blankets or travel crates. We do NOT profit from shipping fees...and in truth, often "go in the hole", more often than not, now more than ever with the rise in fuel.
We prefer to sell to private families but do sell to pet stores from time
to time. If you are considering purchasing from a pet store, I encourage
you to ask lots of questions just as you would if purchasing online.
Adopting a puppy is a huge commitment as well as a costly one and should
not be taken lightly. If I can be of any help, please let me know.
